Plywood

Plywood is an engineered wood board made by gluing multiple thin layers of wood veneer together. The grain of each layer runs in opposite directions, which makes plywood strong, stable, and resistant to bending.

Key characteristics:

  • Made of multiple cross-layered wood sheets

  • Used as the core material for furniture, cabinets, wardrobes

  • Stronger and more stable than solid wood in many applications

  • Often covered with laminate or veneer for finishing
